First up is Alicia Petralia, Head of Media at Zulumatic.

One word that describes your leadership style?

Alicia - Enabling. Creating the space for people and ideas to grow genuinely brings me joy.

What do you wish you had known about the media buying industry when you started

Alicia - I don’t particularly feel that there is anything I wish I had known. Learning media when fundamentals were non-negotiable gave me a strong base to grow from, and watching the industry evolve so quickly kept me energized. Early in my DR TV days I could see how quickly digital thinking was advancing, so I pushed myself to learn it. That mindset has shaped the way I lead and think today.

What's your go-to "shortcut" or life hack that helps you stay sharp and make faster, smarter media decisions throughout your day?

Alicia - I use AI to take care of the small things that pile up. With so much of the day spent in meetings, having help to summarize and stay organized frees me up to focus on what needs my attention.

When you feel stuck or overwhelmed by complexity, what are your go-to strategies for regaining focus and moving forward?

Alicia - My go to move is talking it out. I either grab someone from the team or you might find me talking to myself! Hearing the problem makes the solution a lot easier to spot. It saves my sanity some days.
